CTLS password: Office 365 password
If it asks for a client ID, type in gacobb
Some students have a slightly different Office 365 username. If you need to find it, click here.
If you try to log in and you can’t (especially before Aug.13), don’t freak out yet. Access is limited as students are imported into their classes.

Lesson: ZOOM sesssions, code is 9744609488. Password ( email me at [email protected]). All ZOOM sessions now require a password to enter.
Sessions will be:
Monday 9 or 1 or Tuesday 9 ( all live with me, same material with all of these sessions)
Wednesday 9 or 1 or Thursday at 9 ( all live with me, same material with all of the sessions)
The session will be recorded and link placed on the blog, yet it is best to listen live to take advantage of the question and answer session.
Practice: Link to problems posted here on the blog under various days ( You do not need hard copies of the problems, just your work and/ or answers on paper). I will give explicit directions below the link, as I change the directions from the worksheet frequently).
How to submit Practice work? : Take a picture of the work and email to me ([email protected]). An attached picture is best, so I can read your work upright. A pasted picture comes to me sideways :). Please label the date of the assignment.
Practice Feedback: You can email me anytime and I will respond with feedback by email on your responses typically from 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM weekdays, limited hours on Friday due to meetings. If you do not get feedback within 24 hours, I possibly did not receive the work. An attached picture is great, otherwise I am checking your work sideways :)
Just do your best each day :)

ZOOM session will cover these topics, feel free to do the work after the session. We have made it through week one of digital learning, wonderful job all, see you next week!
If you look at some videos, be careful to not confuse odd/ even functions with odd/ even degree function, they are different.
Work:
https://www.carlisleschools.org/common/pages/UserFile.aspx?fileId=3099668
( 3rd day with the sheet, different directions 😊)
---Graphs E and C, list of order of the intervals
Ex: increase, decrease, increase, etc…
---Graphs F, G and I
Identify the minimum degree based on the number of turns ( Remember: the minimum degree is one more than the number of turns or turning points)
---27 and 28
Identify as even or odd function
You should just look at the exponents, all even, even function, all odd, odd function. Remember: x is power of one (odd) and a constant is a power of zero ( even). If there is a mixture of even and odd powers, the function is neither.
Have a great weekend by resting and relaxing!
We have one more day on unit 3B with one graph, all characteristics, ZOOM session on Monday and little check in on Tuesday ( one graph, name the characteristics, we will review on Monday and a multiple choice/ free response part)

Work (03.31.2020)
Nothing online, so I created your problems😊
Write the radical equation described below: ( use your chart from ZOOM on 03.30.2020)
- Square root, reflect x-axis, right 4 units, down 6
- Square Root, stretch 5, left 2 units, up 10
- Cube Root, reflect over x-axis, stretch 2, right 5, down 12
- Square Root, reflect y-axis, compress or shrink by ½, up 4

Do not follow the directions on page and only do the assigned problems. Do not graph!
Directions: Name the transformations (Reflection, stretch/ shrink, right/left, up/down) ( Some problems do not have all of these transformations)
Ex:
y= -2 (((square root ( x-4))) + 6
reflects over x axis, stretch of 2, right 4 units, up 6 units
Problems:
1 ( 2 transformations), 3 ( 4 transformations), 6 ( 3 transformations) , 10 ( do not graph 10, 3 transformations) Note:10 does not go left or right

03.16.2020-03.24.2020 ( Unit 3B= Characteristics of Polynomial Graphs and Equations)
Tuesday, 03.24.2020, ( a little check in on characteristics of polynomials)
Today, you will have a little check in on the characteristics of polynomials. Again, no grades go into Synergy right now, feel free to email me with any questions.
WORK

Today, you will have a little check in on the characteristics of polynomials. I ask you to do your best on the questions and write down your answers ( do not hit submit b/c I cannot give you feedback) ( multiple choice, answer written out ( even if it looks different than the answer choices) or which answer choice is fine, A for first, B for second, C for third and D for 4th, free response, just write the answer) and then email to me for feedback. Feel free to email me with any questions. Remember the max time per day for math is 30 minutes, so you may have to work on the assignment more than one day.
Monday, 03.23.2020 ( Overview of one Graph, All characteristics)
ZOOM session at 9 AM on Monday! We will be looking at a graph and noting the characteristics of each. Wonderful job this morning!
WORK
http://www.ciclt.net/ul/okresa/Math%20III,%20Unit%205Lesson1Standard_d_Polynomials.pdf
1 st graph (one on the left)
List the following:
Domain and range
x- intercepts ( Zeros)
Y intercepts
End Behavior (--- on the left--- on the right)
Increase/ Decrease pattern
Extrema ( Relative Max. Relative Min)
Minimum Degree ( based on the number of turns)

Friday, 03.20.2020 ( Intervals of increase and decrease, Min degree and number of turns, even/ odd functions)
